Fees

At Sene Hicks Psychology all sessions run for approximately 60 mins. Longer appointments are available upon request. 

A flat session fee of $280 applies to all 60 minute appointments including: Business Hours, After Hours, Weekend, Individual, Joint or family sessions (more than one person)

The full session fee is payable at the time of the appointment.

No doctor’s referral is required unless you wish to claim on Medicare.

Please note, Medicare does not provide a rebate for couples therapy as joint sessions.

Private Employee Assistance Programs are welcome and are charged the flat session fee of $280 per 60-minute session. Please phone to discuss establishing an EAP package for your staff.

Fees are available upon request for psychological medico-legal and forensic reports (including NSW firearms mental health report) and professional letters.

Rebates

Rebates may be available from Medicare and most Private Health-funds.

Medicare

If you hold a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $93.35 per session for 10 sessions per calendar year.

If you are seeking treatment for an eating disorder you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $117.25 per session for up to 40 sessions per calendar year. For more information, talk to your GP.

The full session fee is payable at the time of your appointment and Medicare will deposit your rebate to your nominated bank account within 24 – 48 hours. The rebate will be higher if, towards the end of the year, you have exceeded your Medicare safety net.

Private health funds

Please check with your fund to see if you are covered.

Cancellation Policy

Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment or the full fee will be charged. If you have a Monday morning (before 12pm) appointment, notice is required before 4pm on Friday to avoid cancellation fees.
